5 Things We ♡ This Week: Sept 18th

1. The Start of Fall in the South ~ 85-degrees in the afternoon, 40-degrees in the morning. With that sort of pendulum swing, it means you can wear just about anything and get away with it. Tank top with muck lucks? Sure! Shorts and a toboggan? Okay!

2. Pellegrino’s ~ This restaurant in downtown (?) Troutman, NC serves up delicious and authentic Italian food. I swear, I’m going to be brave enough to order the scungilli one of these days.

3. The Music of Grant Hart ~ The former drummer for Hüsker Dü went on to a successful solo career and work with Nova Mob that stands the test of time. We lost him over the weekend to cancer at the age of 56. Dude.

4. The Emmys ~ I think they got most of the categories right this year. As much as I love hometown hero Zach Galifianakis, Donald Glover’s Atlanta was a true delight this year and I’m glad he won. Even a little “spice” couldn’t mar any of the flavors of the night’s winners.

5. Kittens!! ~ I’m kitten-sitting for a friend and I forgot how much fun those crazy critters can be. They are what we all should be: wide open, fearless, and able to sleep 16 hours a day.
