1) Election Day ~ it's time to flex your democracy muscles and vote on Tuesday. It is truly an honor to be free to do it, and everyone should work hard to learn about the candidates and make informed decisions for every race. It's one of my things.
2) Big Mouth ~ it's highly inappropriate, but if you're looking for a filthy satire about the difficulty of puberty and middle school, this is for you. Did I mention it was a cartoon voiced by Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein and more? Can I recommend it to everyone? No. Definitely not. But would I like to? Yeah, yeah I would.
3) Youth Art Month ~ granted, I may be biased since my young artist is one of the many featured in this show at Wilkes Art Gallery, but the fact that this local business and non-profit gives a whole month to promotion the art programs of every school in Wilkes County is truly admirable. Opening this Friday at 5:30pm.
4) Daylight Saving Time ~ It's happening this weekend and it confuses my cats for a good 3 weeks, but I do like coming home in the daylight after a long day of work. Don't @ me.
5) Chick-Fil-A Iced Coffee ~ sure, we got cool new Starbucks in town, but for me, this coffee for under $2 is the way to go. What can I say,...I like my coffee like I like my men: sweet and a little pale.
